Energy deregulation is a system that allows consumers to choose their energy supplier. This prevents energy monopolies and gives consumers the freedom to choose from multiple energy providers based on rates that suit their needs at competitive prices. SFE Energy is a leading player in this industry.

While your supplier may differ, your local utility will continue to be responsible for handling billing and maintenance, reading your meter, responding to emergencies, and delivering your electricity/natural gas through the same infrastructure/pipelines that you have always used. SFE Energy works collectively with your local utility to help deliver energy for your home/business.

SFE Energy is one of the most sought-after energy suppliers in North America. Our expertise lies in acquiring energy from the wholesale market and delivering electricity and natural gas at competitive prices throughout the country. SFE Energy and our affiliates are licensed to sell electricity and natural gas to homes/businesses in several states.

If you are experiencing issues with your electricity or natural gas supply, reach out to your local utility immediately. Your local utility or distribution company is still responsible for maintaining the reliability of the transmission and distribution system facilitating your home/business.

To contact our customer service, go to our contact page on the website and send us a message right away! You can also find our contact information on your contract.

Opting for fixed-rate energy plans provides our consumers with an uninterrupted energy supply at a fixed rate, which could be initially higher or lower than utility rates. However, unlike utility rates, they will not change during the term of your contract, thereby protecting you against unexpected energy price surges.

The variable plan, on the other hand, allows you to purchase electricity and natural gas at a market price every month. Although you may get the lowest possible cost in the energy market, this plan exposes you to potential price surges and market volatility. Compared to fixed-rate plans, variable-rate plans are risky. But at SFE Energy, we always try to give you a competitive advantage when it comes to energy pricing.

The look and format of your energy bill will not change when you purchase electricity/natural gas from SFE Energy. You will continue receiving a single bill from your local utility where “SFE Energy” appears under the supplier’s name on your bill.

Your local utility bill is subject to energy market conditions and will be constantly fluctuating. While we cannot guarantee that our rates will always be lower than your utility, you will benefit from predictable energy costs when you come under our fixed-rate plan, thereby finding it easier to manage your monthly expenses.

No. Once you sign up with us on one of our energy plans, we will be contacting your current utility on your behalf. Once the transfer procedure is complete, you will receive a notification from your local utility confirming your selection of SFE Energy as your natural gas/electricity supplier.

Additionally, your local utility will remain the same and will continue to deliver energy to your home or business using existing infrastructure, just like they did when you bought the energy supply from them.

The transition from your current utility/ previous energy supplier to SFE Energy is seamless. Once you are successfully enrolled into our energy plan, our service will commence within 1 to 2 billing cycles. Providing accurate customer detail is vital to ensure unnecessary delays.

Contact your utility to notify them of your move. Your local utility will provide you with a new account number. Once you receive this, contact our customer service department to complete the transfer.

At SFE Energy, we will be notifying your term’s expiration in advance. We will also provide you with the details of current available plans and competitive pricing options.
